Signing up for free webspace with 100Webspace and setting site definitions for publishing.

Steps:

1. Go to: http://www.100webspace.com/web_hosting/free_plan.html
2. Choose the Free hosting option by clicking the $0.00 sign up now image.

3. Choose the "Use a subdomain" Option and enter a suitable name for your site.

4. Be sure to fill out all of your details carefully (especially your email address).
   You will then see the confirmation page informing you of your account activation. I recommend you print this page.

5. You will shortly recieve and email with your account details and ftp information once the sign up is complete.
    using these details fill out your remote info page for your Site definitions accordingly. (Keep this email safe!!)

 

Open Dreamweaver

Go to Site> Edit sites> Choose your Site ( EG: unit 4, or unit 5, Unit 6, etc) > Go to Edit >
(Make sure you are on the 'Advanced' page tab)

In the category section (left hand panel) click on the 'Remote Info' page.

Fill out the fields using the following guidelines:

Access: Choose FTP

FTP Host: yourusername.100webspace.net/
Host Directory: yourusername.100webspace.net/
Login: login provided by 100webspace (from the email they send to you)
Password: Password provided by 100webspace (from the email they send you)

6. Click OK > Then Click Done.

 


7. You then, Select your file you wish to upload (eg: index_homework.htm) in the Site Panel window Local view > Use  the Up arrow to put the file to the remote host. (Be sure to "Include dependant files" when prompted).

Then, Go check your page has been uploaded correctly, by typing your 100webspace web address into the address line of your Internet Explorer Browser, followed by forward slash( /) the name of the page you uploaded .htm

Note:
LOCAL View = Files on your computer.
REMOTE View = Files at the Host
