- This course is divided up into Units.
When a unit has been completed, please then complete the Unit
Homework and either upload to the VLC (this is the prefered method) or forward to your tutor by email. All Assignments for each Unit are in Word document format on the Resource CD provided.
- All homework assignment (word document) files
may be uploaded to the VLC or forwarded as attachments to my e-mail address throughout the
course. (Web pages must not be attached to email for grading).
- Be sure all homework is clearly labelled and includes your student enrolment number.
- Always ensure to notify both the Tutor and Home Learning college of a change of address.
- Other work such as .htm pages or complete sites may either be uploaded as a zip file to the VLC or forwarded as zip file by email to the tutor or published to the internet.

Note: Do please use the HTML Reference book to assist you with this Unit.
- For submission of Unit 1 Homework. Please save your homework to the Assignment 1 folder then Save the Entire Assignment 1 folder with your completed work as a zip file and either upload the zip file to the VLC or as email attachment to your tutor.
- How to Zip a Folder:
From your desktop, navigate to your Desktop and then right click with your mouse on the Assignment1 folder you need to zip up and choose 'send to' > 'compressed (zipped) folder' from the menus.
This will create a new file named with the same name as the folder you chose to zip up but with a .zip extension and icon.
This will be a compressed file containing everything within the folder you chose.
You can now upload this zip file to the VLC or attach this new file to an email together with the relevant assignment document file.
For MAC users instead of right clicking the folder use 'ctrl+click' and choose 'add to archive' from the action menu.

- Unit 02 - Planning
and Organizing your Web Site - (See also Notes on Final Site)
The site planning for unit 2 will be related to the Final site you wish to build for your Diploma entry at the end of the course. This will be entirely of your own choosing (topic-wise).
- For unit 2 submission your tutor will require to see both the Unit 2 homework questions answered, together with the completed Website planning document (site plan/final site). Note: The Website Planning form is located on the Resource CD Unit_02_files folder. You may also forward your Unit 2 folder, if you wish
- The site plan will develop behind the scenes and your tutor will require to see the finalised version at the end of the course prior to build and publish.

Out Your First Web Page - Note:
This exercise onwards Tutor requires to see your practical work (Unit
folder or published workpage/s)
Please
either save your complete unit folder (site Root folder) to a zip file and attach to an email to your tutor or publish the results of your work
